HEC supported Matson from concept to delivery on the Daniel K. Inouye – the largest U.S.‑built containership with “green ship technology” at the time.

HEC personnel were seconded to Blohm & Voss to convert a Ro–Ro ship into the dynamically positioned “Dan Swift” accommodations vessel, handling stability, structural work, systems integration, trials, and regulatory compliance.
