Regulatory: RJPfeiffer Scrubber Installation Design

HEC managed the installation design for the scrubber retrofit on the Matson RJ Pfeiffer. Our tasks included creating new piping diagrams and spool drawings, updating existing diagrams for system tie-ins, preparing electrical power and control diagrams along with specifications, designing equipment foundations, creating fabrication drawings, designing a new funnel structure to enclose the scrubber, analyzing exhaust pipe support locations, creating arrangement drawings, and developing all other necessary drawings to ensure a complete installation package for the shipyard. We also conducted a deadweight survey and an incline test after installing the scrubber, updating the vessel’s stability documentation and loading computer model accordingly. Additionally, we handled drawing submissions on behalf of the owner to the Class for approval.
