Marine Engineering Retrofits and Modifications

HEC partnered with MAN & Keystone Shipping Co. to assist with the replacement of the main engines on the Edgar B. Speer. Our team managed key tasks such as modifying exhaust pipe routing, designing the structure, and locating new equipment to meet specific requirements. We captured laser scans during our surveys and created a 3D model to support this design work. We prepared a Class-approved contract design package for the ship manager, which was then provided to the shipyard to perform the detailed production design. We worked closely with the vessel manager and shipyard to help improve the efficiency and success of the project at every step. (2024-2025)
